Today in class we continued to finish our
collisions lab. Then soon after that we had our lap practical. which was so
fun! We got to use nerf guns to shoot the sail on the cart! Then we had to
measure the momentum that the cart gained from the shooting of the nerf gun.
Then after that we did a bunch of calculations about momentum and soon enough
it was lunch! After lunch we came back and started working on our egg lag, we
had built our contraption and we were testing it but our contraption didn’t quite
work very well… the egg turned into cracked egg. So now my partner and I have
to build another contraption to try to fix the padding issue :/ over all the
day was pretty chill but we still learned the physics of everyday life. We also learned that fireworks follow this sort of parabolic pattern when they are shot up into the sky!
This is a picture of the bear we were going to use for our egg contraption but it didn't work so now we have to use something else. We were planning on putting the egg in a cup surrounded by yarn then we would tape the cup closed and then put the cup in the bear. But when we dropped it the bear flipped and landed on the side that was tapped which didn't have very much cushion.
