Introducing Me :D

My full name is Elizabeth Wai Ling Lee, but I go by Lizzie, and have gone by Lizzie since I was in middle school. I've been dancing ballet since I was two years old, which is now 14 years later. I have a younger brother, who goes to Iolani, and a mom and dad. I love music and of course dancing. I have been at Punahou since Kindergarden. I have taken bio during freshman year and I took Chem during the summer into Sophomore year. For Junior year I don’t plan to take any science but in Senior year I plan to take some sort of science. Next year I am going to be in Alg 2/ Trig regular. I hope to learn the connection between our everyday lives and Physics other than just gravity and friction. I want to learn how everything in my life was influenced by physics and how I just didn't know it. The picture on this blog was taken at the North Shore just about a week ago during my friends birthday party. I was kind of just sitting on the beach waiting for everyone to get there and I happened to look down and see this heart shaped coral. I guess why it caught my attention was because my whole life I have loved hearts. I do consider myself a very loving and caring person in general and I guess that is why hearts seem to appeal to me so much. Love has played such a great role in my life. I always am fascinated by things in nature that resemble love in some way, like the coral. I am also a pretty simple person and I guess this picture also represents that too. 

The second picture of me is of me from a dance show that I did. Ballet has been in my life for 14 years. It would seem strange to me without my dance. Dance is the only way I have a chance to be me and let go of all my worries. Dance is the one place that I can be confident in what and I don't care what others think. I was two when I started ballet and had the opportunity to go onto pointe at age 7. That was a big step for someone so young. I am so glad that I have dance in my life and dance is the one place where I can be anyone I want and be truly alive.
