In Unit two we studied Kinematics or
the study of motion. We learned the rules of graphing; including the slope of a
position vs. time graph is velocity, the slope of a velocity vs. time
graph is acceleration, and area "under the curve" of a
velocity vs. time (v/t) is displacement. For the lab this unit we had a
Physics Olympics! It was actually really fun! We did bunny hop races, posture
practice, slow jogging, and sprint races. We also learned the relationships between
position vs. time graphs and velocity vs. time graphs. We also learned about
displacement and how now matter where you go from one point, if you end up at
the same point then you technically didn't go anywhere. We learned that
distance and displacement are completely different. Also we learned that speed
and velocity are different too.
When talking about the study of
motion, and thinking about what I should use for my picture I remembered this
picture I took of my brother at the Podium Raceway. He was moving very fast but
when I took the picture it froze my brother and made the background blurry.
I really liked the great summary that you made of the lesson. It was really easy to understand and very detailed! And your picture of your brother is very cool how you captured just his car and the rest of the picture is blurry.
ReplyDeleteThanks I tried to be as detailed as possible so that people did understand it well! Thanks I really liked this picture :) !
DeleteI like how you underlined main points in your post. That helped me to remember them instead of just reading words on page. And your picture is ridiculous just by the way :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm glad you understood my post :)! Thanks! :)
DeleteI really like your picture it's so cool! I liked your description of the lesson it was really informative and made the lesson sound amazing. I agree that the physics olympics was fun hopefully more of the lessons are as fun as this one!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I love doing labs like the Physics Olympics! :) I really appreciate that you said that i made the lesson sound interesting!!
